Well done to the girls' team who played brillantly in the FAI 5 aside at Portumna FC along with 11 other teams. The cold and wet conditions did little to dampen their spirits. They secured a semi-final spot, after a hard fought battle in the group stages. The team grew into each game, asserting themselves with great skill and flair. They made it through to a play off which they won on penalties. The semi-final was deadlocked after full time, in a very tight and competitive game, and it took a goal in extra time to decide it in favour of Cappataggle, who ended up winning the competition. Well done girls, you did yourselves and the school very proud 👏
