We are delighted to have our Solar Panels installed as part of the Solar for Schools Programme. We now have 6 kilowatts of roof-mounted Solar PV and monitoring software. This is going to create significant savings on electricity. The school also has the ability to generate income by powering other homes and businesses with clean energy, when the school is closed at weekends and during holidays.
This also ties in with climate sustainability for our students in terms of the Green Flag initiative. The boys and girls are very interested in monitoring the positive impacts the Solar Panels are bringing to our school on our new monitor!
